After drummer Danny Carey alluded to an April release for Tool's long-awaited new album, frontman Maynard James Keenan seems to have shot down the idea of a spring arrival.
Yesterday (February 4), Keenan responded to a fan on Twitter who asked about further rumours pointing to an April release date. The vocalist curtly replied, "no."
Late last month, drummer Carey told a fan that a follow-up to 2006's 10,000 Days was "gonna be out in mid-April. That's the plan, anyway." Additional posts on social media from friends of band members indicate the the album has been finished.
Tool have already mapped out a number of festival appearances for May and June of this year. The band's new album has yet to receive an official release date.
Late last month, Tool shared a pair of new video teasers, sparking even more excitement for the new album to finally arrive.
