Meaford, ON's Electric Eclectics Gets Slash Need, Bile Sister, ZONES for 2024 Edition

The 2024 rendering of "Canada's weirdest experimental music festival" will also feature a Phill Niblock memorial performance

Continuing to live up to their high decree of "Canada's weirdest experimental music festival," as per VICE (and former Exclaim! Features Editor, Matt Bobkin), Meaford, ON's Electric Eclectics festival returns to the Funny Farm for 2024 this August 2 to 4. Today, organizers have revealed the lineup details.

Overlooking the scenic Big Head Valley, this year's edition of the fest will host performances from brainwave music innovator David Rosenboom, Exclaim! Class of 2023 alumni Slash Need, fellow Torontonian Bile Sister, Turkish/Kazakh vocalist Saadet Türköz and composer Hans Tammen, as well as a memorial performance for Phill Niblock (directed by his collaborator and partner, Katherine Liberovskaya), and sets from EE faves ZONES and Lary 7.

There will also be art installations by Timothy Glasgow (London, ON), Wilderness Adventure Ride (Toronto), Field Work (Owen Sound) Gayle Young & Reinhard Reitzenstein (Grimsby), Modular Electronic Music Systems (Detroit), Funny Farm Radio (New York/Toronto/Meaford), Jim Kroesen (Toronto) and Bobby Gadda (Toronto).
