Meek Mill Is Already Selling His New Album with All Merch Orders

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Sep 6, 2018

Meek Mill seems to be pulling a Travis Scott and attaching his forthcoming new album to all of his merch sales.

Earlier this week, Mill took to Instagram to offer fans a digital copy of his not-even-announced-yet new album with the purchase of anything from his online merch shop.

It's not uncommon for artists to bundle their music with shirts or concert tickets, but just last month, Mill's high-profile ex Nicki Minaj called Scott out for using the tactic to unfairly boost his record sales — and block her album Queen from reaching No. 1.

Minaj addressed the controversy on Ellen earlier this week, and the rapper said she wasn't mad at Scott, but rather "I felt like I wanted to punch him in his fucking face."

"I've had a No. 2 album, and I never cared," Minaj added. "It's just when you have a No. 2 album to someone who's selling shirts and merch and selling passes for a tour that's not even announced yet, it feels like you're being tricked. It feels like someone is playing a game and beating you at a game as opposed to just selling music. I wanna sell music."

There's no word yet on when Mill's album is set to drop, but you can already boost his sales by buying his merch here.

Mill last released the Legends of Summer EP earlier this summer.
