Mega-Mousse

Musical Monogram

BY Roman SokalPublished Nov 1, 2002

Evil-sounding but with true greatness, this six-piece ska/prog/pop group skilfully use a trio of horns to tickle your perceptions of expectation into a previously inexperienced sensation that will take you to a place where you will run into your doppelganger at an old school discotheque where he/she/it will be seen hoisting a beer stein rather gleefully whilst on mushrooms. The closest rational analogy one might receive by listening to Mega-Mousse is that they sound a tad Patton-esque - Faith No More and Mr. Bungle that is. They are as adventurous as the imagination can get and are a daring listen worthy of the risk of losing the female population at your next smoke-out party.
