Thrash metal stalwarts Megadeth are in celebratory mood. They've realized that one of their most pivotal (read: successful) albums, Rust In Peace turns 20 this year. We all know what that means: a special tour.
The quartet currently composed of founder/vocalist/guitarist Dave Mustaine, bassist James LoMenzo, drummer Shawn Drover and guitarist Chris Broderick will be "playing their landmark, genre-defining album, 1990's Rust In Peace, in addition to other Megadeth set list favourites," their current label Roadrunner Records has announced.
Along for the month-long ride in March, fellow scene progenitors Testament and Exodus will ensure that Megadeth are on their best/most vicious behaviour.
For those not counting, Rust In Peace was Megadeth's fourth full-length. Latest release Endgame is equally revered, but it's their 12th overall.
Wasting no time, tickets go on sale this Friday (January 29). Dates are below, and yes, some of them are Canadian.
Oh, and the band also promises to reschedule those postponed tour dates with Slayer at some point. Promises, promises...
