For decades now, Japanese experimental noise band Melt-Banana have confounded and delighted many via their hyper-speed mix of punk, metal, jazz, electronica and everything in between. North American fans will get another chance to catch the out-there outfit this fall on their upcoming tour.
Despite Melt-Banana being a force of nature themselves, a press release explains that even the earthquakes and tsunami that rocked their homeland earlier this year couldn't keep the band down for long. Melt-Banana will be causing "sonic tremors" of their own on the lengthy trip, which kicks off October 1 in Eugene, OR.
While the press sheet says that more dates will be revealed in the near future, so far only two dates are schedule for Canada: October 25 at Toronto's Wrongbar and October 26 at Montreal's Il Motore. You can check out all the dates below.
While the band haven't released any new material since 2007's Bambi's Dilemma, Melt-Banana "will be playing material from a forthcoming studio album for the first time at these shows." If history repeats itself, get ready to hear some seriously insane punk-fusion, everybody.
