Recent Sub Pop signees Memoryhouse have whetted appetites for a couple years now through a series of increasingly sublime online-only and seven-inch releases. So it's no wonder that their CMW gig was filled with both fans and industry folk alike. But while we wait for a full-length, the duo -- Evan Abeele and Denise Nouvion -- have expanded into a four-piece on stage, filling their set with bass, drums, guitar, and low-key vocals. And while stripped-down track "Caregiver" sounded nice, this traditional set-up stripped the band of all the dreamy electronic flourishes that made them interesting in the first place. Coupled with Nouvion and Abeele's utter lack of stage presence and you had a pretty underwhelming live show that failed to impress.
