As previously reported, Guelph, ON-based dream pop outfit Memoryhouse will soon release their debut LP, The Slideshow Effect. In anticipation of that album's arrival on February 28 via Sub Pop, the duo have unveiled the synth-dappled lead single "The Kids Were Wrong."
This song scales back the haze of the some of the band's past work and delivers punchy beats, cinematic guitars, and crisp vocals that are high in the mix. It's a little less "dream" and a little more "pop," and the emphasis of melody over reverb is sure to win the band some new listeners.
