Have you heard of Doggyland? It's Snoop Dogg's nursery rhyme project where he raps for kids and gets them to sing back reassuring lines like "There is no one better to be than myself" and "My feelings matter!" It's pretty cute, and admittedly effective for people of all ages. One such fan of Doggyland is Michael Bublé's daughter, who got to meet Snoop on the set of The Voice.
The show's first-ever Canadian judge detailed the meeting on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where he said he was shocked when his six-year-daughter, Vida, asked if he would sing with Snoop while shooting. After asking how she knew who he was, she told him that her kindergarten teacher had been playing Doggyland's "Affirmations Song" in class.
Bublé filmed a video of her singing it, and showed it to Snoop when they first met. "I showed him, and he was so cute. It really moved him, like, he's a beautiful soul," he said, with Meyers agreeing. "He said to me, he goes, 'Mike, Mike.' He said, 'You're telling me in Vancouver, that those kindergarteners listen to Uncle Snoop every day?"
He brought Vida to meet him on set, and said that "she loves him." "Sometimes he'll call and literally it's not to talk to me. He'll be like... 'Uncle Snoop is calling to say hi to the kids!'" Meyers then flashed to a video of Bublé, Vida and Snoop vibing to "Affirmations Song" backstage on The Voice's set.
