Canadian singer-songwriter Michael Feuerstack (who previously performed under the moniker Snailhouse) has kept busy ever since the release of his debut LP last spring, having toured across the country and released a standalone 7-inch in that time.
His full-length follow-up, Singer Songer, won't be issued on vinyl until April 19 (a.k.a. Record Store Day), with CD and digital downloads arriving on April 29 through Forward Music/Headless Owl. While you wait, stream the album's Devon Sproule-assisted second track "Out of Season" on Exclaim.ca.
While not much of a stylistic departure from the previously released John K. Samson collaboration "Friday Night Guard," "Out of Season" finds Feuerstack dialling down on its predecessor's upbeat sound and glassy timbre in favour of some slow dance-esque strumming and Sproule's characteristically soulful crooning.
