Michael Jackson's Daughter Is Convinced Her Father Was Murdered

While Michael Jackson's death in 2009 was ruled an accidental killing, the star's daughter Paris has now revealed she believes her father was murdered.

Speaking with Rolling Stone for her first in-depth interview, 18-year-old Paris Jackson claims that the pop icon was "absolutely" murdered, saying it's "obvious."

"All arrows point to that," Paris told the publication. "It sounds like a total conspiracy theory and it sounds like bullshit, but all real fans and everybody in the family knows it. It was a setup. It was bullshit."

While Paris didn't name names, she said that "a lot of people" wanted her father dead, while also remaining equally vague on how she intends on seeking justice — or even revenge.

"[It's] a chess game. And I am trying to play the chess game the right way. And that's all I can say about that right now," she said.

While Michael Jackson's death saw a jury find Dr. Conrad Murray guilty of involuntary manslaughter, Paris said her suspicions stem from her father being suspicious himself. "He would drop hints about people being out to get him," she explained. "And at some point he was like, 'They're gonna kill me one day.'"

Rolling Stone points out that Jackson's ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley told Oprah Winfrey of a similar conversation that happened between Jackson and herself, in which he feared unnamed parties were plotting to take his half of the Sony/ATV music-publishing catalog, worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Elsewhere in the interview, Paris discusses growing up with her father, the issues she faced following his death and her current life. You can read the complete feature here.

Thankfully, the memory of Jackson won't be tainted further by a portrayal that made her "want to vomit."
