Michael Jackson is often known as the King of Pop, but he will no longer be known as the King of POP!, since his estate has barred toymakers Funko POP! from continuing to use the singer's image.
Some history: Funko did a run of MJ dolls back in 2011, and TMZ reports that the company signed a two-year licensing deal with his estate. That deal ran out way back in 2013, but Funko was apparently continuing to use images of the dolls in its online catalogue.
This isn't to say that the dolls were still available — rather, it was just digital images of the dolls, and MJ's estate decided that Funko was using the singer's image to engage with fans. Funko has complied with the Jackson estate, and the images are no longer published on the website. A search for Michael Jackson on Funko's site turns up no results.
There are five different Jackson-styled Funkos, based on some of his different looks throughout the years. If you have a few hundred dollars to blow, they are available for exorbitant prices on Amazon.
