Twee auteur Michel Gondry has made plenty of iconic, hand-crafted videos for the likes of the White Stripes and Björk, and while he's mostly been busy in the film world it looks as if he returned to the genre to work with pop's biggest star.
In an interview with La Presse [via Jezebel], Gondry revealed that he came out of music-video retirement to work with none other than Beyoncé.
Specifically, he said he had completed "a clip for a Beyoncé song," adding, "Unfortunately, it hasn't been released because she had her twins.... But the [video] is finished and it's very, very good, I think."
While we can't wait to see what sort of cardboard kingdom Gondry has crafted for Bey, we're also curious if this means new music is on the way from pop's reigning queen. After all, Lemonade already has accompanying visuals for every song.
Here's hoping we get to see this collaboration sooner rather than later.
