Mick Jagger and Dave Grohl Team Up for Post-Pandemic Jam "Eazy Sleazy"

They want you to know "we escaped from the prison walls" so "open the windows and open the doors"

The worlds of Mick Jagger and Dave Grohl are colliding. Today the Rolling Stones singer and Foo Fighters frontman have got together to deliver a new song called "Eazy Sleazy."

Very much serving as some sort of post-pandemic jam, the track finds Jagger tackling the pandemic and lockdown head-on, giving us a mix of frustration, anxiety and straight-up exhaustion alongside a real sense of humour and quite the optimistic chorus — even if some places such as Canada are seeing their highest COVID-19 numbers ever right now.

As Jagger sings, "We escaped from the prison walls / Open the windows and open the doors / But it's easy easy / Everything's gonna get really freaky / Alright on the night / It's gonna be a garden of earthly delights."

"Eazy Sleazy" was co-written by Jagger and Grohl, with the former doing guitars and vocals and the latter drums, guitars and bass. Matt Clifford handled production.

"It's a song that I wrote about coming out of lockdown, with some much needed optimism," Jagger said in a statement. "Thanks to Dave Grohl for jumping on drums, bass and guitar, it was a lot of fun working with him. I hope you all enjoy 'Eazy Sleazy.'"

Grohl added: "It's hard to put into words what recording this song with Sir Mick means to me. It's beyond a dream come true. Just when I thought life couldn't get any crazier......and it's the song of the summer, without a doubt!!"
