Minus

Lest you think the only music that comes out of Iceland is ethereal alt-rock, Minus is here to prove otherwise with their brand of drop-tuned heavy rock drive. While their sophomore effort contains "arty" influences like Refused-style time signatures and weird sax fills, this disc is more akin to the art-core of Deftones and Quicksand than the out-there soundscapes of Björk or Sigur Rós. And as far as driving drop-tuned nu-metal goes, this is a standout.
