Seattle indie rock quintet Minus the Bear have always been partially known for their members' previous musical endeavours, which includes Botch, Kill Sadie and Sharks Keep Moving. Now, nearly a decade into their time as a band, the band have clearly carved out their own identity in the indie landscape. Marrying intricate guitar parts with a penchant for songwriting, Minus the Bear's sound might just reach a new height with their fourth album, due this spring.
The album is called OMNI, and will be their first for Dangerbird Records. The record was produced by Grammy Award winner Joe Chiccarelli, who has also worked with the White Stripes and My Morning Jacket. According to a press release, the album will deal with "the exploration of erotic themes and fascinating tales of human sexual relationships."
With that in mind, we can't wait to read the tracklisting when it drops. For now, we can tell you that the album will be released in May 4, and will be followed by a large tour.
