Mississauga's Living Arts Centre (LAC) has unveiled the lineup of performances for its 2024–2025 season, set to kick off on September 28.
Bif Naked, Glass Tiger, the Strumbellas, Talib Kweli, Pink Martini, Sister Sledge and more acts will take the stage at the vibrant venue located in the heart of the city. There are also numerous tribute performances on deck, including Matt Dusk Sings Tony Bennett, An Evening with the Fab Four, Tribute to the Legends of Reggae: Bob Marley, One Vision - The Music of Queen, Jim Henson's Labyrinth: In Concert, and Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock LIVE.
If that wasn't enough, the holidays bring a production of The Nutcracker and The Debaters Live, in addition to HYPROV: Improv Under Hypnosis with Colin Mochrie. For the kids, there's Blippi: Join the Band and The Gruffalo's Child, an adaptation of the beloved picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.
"We're thrilled to showcase a full roster of live shows once again at the Living Arts Centre, our city's premiere performing arts theatre," Acting Mayor and Ward 9 Councillor Martin Reid said in a release. "We are committed to celebrating global and local artists. This season promises to be a wonderful celebration, bringing the wonder of live performance back to the 2023 Music City of the Year. I encourage everyone to check out the upcoming events happening in Mississauga and to catch a show this season."
Tickets for the LAC's 2024–2025 seasons are on sale now, with an opportunity to save the fees with the purchase of admission to two or more shows prior to July 2.
