Moby recently teased his new collaborative LP Innocents with a stream of the Cold Specks-assisted "A Case for Shame," and now the electronic music vet has slid a slippery self-directed clip our way too.
The video is Moby's directorial debut and finds him hovering somewhere near the bottom of a crystal-clear pool. Observing him from the topside are the critter-masked robe-sporters that figure on the album cover, though an ursine member of the clan gets wet as well. Smokey-voiced Cold Specks makes an appearance too, so keep your eyes peeled throughout the video.
Moby side-stepped explaining the imagery, offering up in a statement: "The video has a specific meaning for me, but I'm hesitant to say what that is, as it might have a very specific meaning to you, and it's completely open to anyone's subjective interpretation. just because i made it doesn't mean that my interpretation of it is the right one. i'd love to hear what you think of it and what your interpretation is."
Innocents arrives October 1 via Moby's own Little Idiot imprint and in Canada via Arts & Crafts. As previously reported, the album also features guest spot from Damien Jurado, Wayne Coyne, Skylar Grey, Inyang Bassey and Mark Lanegan.
