Modest Mouse are previewing their forthcoming LP The Golden Casket with yet another new single. This time around, they've delivered a super cheery new tune titled "The Sun Hasn't Left" ahead of the album's release next week.
The track reads like a kids' show theme song or a late Arcade Fire release, with its optimistic lyrics and upbeat marimba melody. "You're not wrong / Things are a mess," frontman Isaac Brock sings. "But there's still something left."
Marking Modest Mouse's first album since 2015's Strangers to Ourselves, The Golden Casket arrives next Friday (June 25) via Epic. So far, we've heard "We Are Between" and "Leave a Light On" from the record.
