Scottish post-rock masters Mogwai last released a full-length with 2011's Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will. They've hardly taken a break, though, following it up with an EP, a remix album and some music for French zombie show Les Revenants. Still, they're back again with a new album.
While the last LP saw them referencing hardcore in the title, this one is named after dance music. Called Rave Tapes, the new album was produced by the band alongside Paul Savage, who previously worked with the band on their Young Team record.
Rave Tapes will be available on January 21 via Sub Pop in North America and January 20 via the band's own Rock Action in the UK.
