The Mole

On a night that was starting to look like it would never really kick into high gear, local hero-via-BC the Mole got things back on track, with a shamefully brief — only one hour — set of pure, beefy, Battle Techno™, the kind of which had been completely missing from this year’s MUTEK. Largely ignoring this year’s trendy sound in favour of straight-ahead, smile-inducing dance floor thump, he kept the audience in it with odd touches like a sample of Robert Owens’ classic "I’ll Be Your Friend” thrown in for good measure. Certainly one of this year’s stronger performances.
