Mos Def Plots North American Tour in Support of <i>The Eternal</i>

Rapper Mos Def finally released his long-anticipated fourth solo album, The Eternal, last month, and by all counts, it's pretty darn good. Now, he'll be taking his show on the road with a lengthy North American tour.

The trek kicks off in Minneapolis on August 1 and sees Mos travel the majority of his United States. He'll also be popping up in Canada in late August for three dates, including stops in Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver.

Joining Mos Def on the entire tour will be New Orleans rapper Jay Electronica. It's fitting, because Mos and Jay are apparently working on a collaborative album called Simpatico, which will feature nine songs. Mos Def talks briefly about the album in the video below.
