As previously reported, Phil Elverum is set to explore the tragic death of his wife Geneviève Elverum on a new Mount Eerie album. A visual artist and musician, Geneviève died last year at the age of 35. Today, Phil has shared a music video featuring footage from both parties for his song "Ravens."
The song utilizes chilling and confessional lyrics about loss as Phil details the death of his wife. Adding to the emotional heft are the visuals, which are incredibly intimate and real. It's a truly heartbreaking work.
Watch the video for "Ravens" below. The song will appear on A Crow Looked at Me, which is due out on March 24 via P.W. Elverum & Sun.
