Earlier this year, Hawksley Workman teamed up with Hot Hot Heat's Steve Bays and Limblifter's Ryan Dahle to unveil their collaborative new Canadian supergroup of sorts, Mounties. Now, the band have signed a deal with Vancouver's Light Organ Records/Simkin Artist Management and are premiering a new music video for "If This Dance Catches On."
The song is an upbeat pop-rock number with vocal harmonies and crunchy guitar riffs. As for the video, it consists of vintage home movie footage shot by Hawksley's grandfather, which was edited together by Bays. We see everything from parades to dancing, rodeos, tobogganing, and vacations at the lake.
An album and tour are planned for later this year, but for now check out the new video below.
