Mugison

Mugison is an artist who has incorporated his moniker into his own language. Based out of Iceland, this eccentric one-man band was once a sailor, a clown and a fish factory worker before he discovered music was his true calling. Taken from his recent fourth release, Mugimama – Is This Monkey Music?, "Sad As A Truck" best represents the exotic nature of this troubadour. His direction isn't clear, mixing Beefheart idiosyncrasies with Beck's white boy funk, but it's the possibility that this man may be losing his mind here that makes this cut a disarming listen.
