MUTEK Expands Lineup with Surgeon & Lady Starlight, Max Cooper, Polar Inertia

The latest additions put the spotlight on London, Barcelona, Mexico City and Berlin

Montreal's MUTEK festival is a little over a month removed from sharing their initial 2017 lineup, and now organizers have shared a second round of programming that is centred on its international connections.

In shining the spotlight on electronic music talents from London, Barcelona, Mexico City and Berlin, the festival has added (in alphabetical order) Alexis Langevin-Tétrault, Anthony Child, Automatisme, Borchi, Babi Audi, Clip, Deathprod, Demora, DeWalta & Shannon, Driftmachine, EOP, Evil Tapes, Filastine, France Jobin, Fred P, Helm, JMII, Lao, Lucas Paris, Maotik & Max Cooper, Maxime Corbeil-Perron, Mexican Jihad, Monolake, Murcof, Myriam Bleau, Oly, Polar Inertia, Sau Poler, Sensate Focus, Shiva Feshareki, Space Afrika, Sunny Graves, Surgeon & Lady Starlight, Timbre, Upgrayedd Smurphy, and Wooky & Alba G. Corral.

UPDATE (6/13, 10 a.m. EDT): The final wave of MUTEK acts has now been announced, and it includes Bambooman, Beatrice Dillon, Ben Shemie, BSCL x Groj, buffalo MRI, Christian Olsen, Dis Fig, ESB, Flandez, Forage, gonima, Helm, Imaginary Landscape, Jonathan Kawchuk, Lotic, Moma, N.M.O., Ouri, Pelada, Racine & Wolski, Reginald Omas Mamode IV, OSB, Revlux™, Sarah Farina, Shit & Shine, Shiva Feshareki, Stereo _IMG, Teo Zamudio, Toboggan, Tokiomi, Valeda, and You're Me Band.

The above acts join a lineup that already includes Africaine 808, Alexandre Burton & Julien Roy, Anchorsong, Aurora Halal, Daphni (a.k.a Caribou's Dan Snaith) and more. A press release reveals that an additional third lineup announcement is set to come.

MUTEK 18th edition takes place in Montreal from August 22 to 27. Further scheduling and ticketing information can be found through the festival's official website.
