Following Nails' somewhat unsatisfying Obscene Humanity EP, which included a couple of re-recorded cuts, the SoCal grinders are now ready to let loose their next all-new LP Abandon All Life March 19 through Southern Lord. If you were hoping to get annihilated in their presence, you'll be happy to know that the band will take to the road about a month later.
Southern Lord confirmed that the band heads out in late April for just over a week's worth of dates. Two of those shows take place north of the border, in Toronto and Montreal, respectively. Joining Nails on the trip will be Xibalba and Early Grave. You can check out the itinerary down below.
Nails wrapped up recording sessions for Abandon All Life in early January at Converge guitarist/producer Kurt Ballou's GodCity studio in Salem, MA. It's their first full-length since 2010's Unsilent Death. You can check out the positively punishing new track "God's Cold Hands" — which is punctuated with gruelling six-string terror, punched-up blast beats and sludge passages, and vocalist/guitarist Todd Jones' thick and throaty cries — over at Pitchfork and in the player down below.
Tour dates:
4/26 Chicago IL - The Cobra Lounge (The Rumble)
4/27 Cleveland OH - Now Thats Class
4/28 Buffalo NY - The Funeral Home
4/29 Toronto ON - Sneaky Dee's
4/30 Montreal QC - Il Motore
5/1 Albany NY - Bogies
5/2 Boston MA - Great Scott
5/3 Brooklyn NY - St Vitus
5/4 Philadelphia PA - O'Reillys
