Natalie Prass drops her Side By Side EP tomorrow (November 20), but before it officially arrives, she's teased listeners with another unique take on an already existing song. Following her cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "Sound of Silence," Prass has unveiled her rendition of Grimes' "REALiTi."
In a statement about the cover, Prass previously said:
"REALiTi" by Grimes. Four chords. Simple lyrics and melodies. I think the world of her. We worked this song out in the studio never having played it before and recorded it like 3 times through. I think it works although she's probably going to say "what is this jazz shit" and hate it.
Prass' reworking opens sparsely and builds into a fast-paced, but easy on the ears rendition of the Art Angels track. Hear that "jazz shit" for yourself in the player below.
