Needles//Pins' new La-Ti-Da Records 7-inch as part of the label's singles series hasn't quite hit stores yet, so the Vancouver pop-punkers are going ahead and streaming the B-side, titled "Date Night (You Bring the Napalm)."
The song flirts with jangly power pop more than Needles//Pins' other work, but the trio's grit still comes through via Adam Ess's scratched-up croon and the occasional chunky power chord. The track features some pining, long-distance-love lyrics that have Ess harmonizing with the Ballantynes' Vanessa Dandurand, whose own band is also part of the La-Ti-Da roster.
