Next Tuesday (November 13) Neneh Cherry & the Thing's covers album The Cherry Thing gets a makeover from some friends via The Cherry Thing Remixes. One such dude is acclaimed soundsmith Jim O'Rourke, and you can check out his reworking of the act's "Accordion," which itself re-imagined the 2004 original from Madvillain, down below.
O'Rourke's remix plays it spare at first, but eventually makes the track sound as if he tossed Cherry, a skronky sax and some kitchen utensil percussionists into a cavern and recorded the echoey outcome from above.
As previously reported, The Cherry Thing Remixes arrives via Smalltown Supersound.
