New Lease

Less than two years old, Montreal's New Lease offers up new school hardcore punk with an old school attitude. Their debut release, Landscape, is a whirling collection of buzz saw guitars, thrashing beats and good old-fashioned stomp and chant choruses with a social conscience. It features nine original tracks, two experimental instrumental gems and a cover of the old '80s Opus classic "Live is Life," done up NL style.
