With the 2017 edition of the Sundance Film Festival coming up fast, we're learning more about the films set to premiere. Among the newly leaked details is news that Nick Cave and Warren Ellis are once again scoring a new film.
Cave and Ellis have composed the original music to the upcoming thriller Wind River, Film Music Reporter points out. The film, which is set to premiere later this week at Sundance, marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Taylor Sheridan, who wrote Hell or High Water, Sicario and now Wind River.
The film stars Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen and Jon Bernthal, and its synopsis reads: "An FBI agent teams with the town's veteran game tracker to investigate a murder that occurred on a Native American reservation."
As previously reported, Cave and Ellis both previously teamed up with Sheridan for Hell or High Water, for which they did the score.
So far, there is no firm word of a soundtrack release, but stayed tuned.
In the meantime, Sundance runs from January 19 to 29 in Utah, while Cave will be taking his Bad Seeds out on a sprawling North American tour. You can see all the dates here.
