Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are a week away from the release of their Push the Sky Away LP, but fans out on the West Coast have even more to celebrate today, as the band have announced some additional stops on their upcoming North American tour.
While dates had been announced a couple of months ago, including stops in Toronto and Montreal this March, a press release for the Seeds confirms three more dates in April, as well as a venue change in San Diego.
The Canadian addition to the schedule takes place April 6 at Vancouver's Vogue Theatre. This will be Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' first performance in BC since their afternoon appearance at Lollapalooza 94 in the nearby suburb of Cloverdale. Cave has, however, been to Vancouver in recent years with Grinderman.
While previously announced opener Sharon Van Etten will tackle the newly delivered U.S. concerts, Ontario folk singer Basia Bulat will be the opener in Vancouver. You can see the updated tour itinerary down below, where you'll also find the Bad Seeds' recent video for "Jubilee Street."
As previously reported, Push the Sky Away drops February 19 through the group's own Bad Seed Ltd.
UPDATE: The Bad Seeds' L.A. show on February 21 will be live streamed by Rockfeedback on their YouTube channel over here. It's one of their special album-release shows featuring guests, strings and choir accompaniment, and a film screening.
