Never underestimate the unifying powers of a couple of dance music robots, as recent Daft Punk collaborators Giorgio Moroder and Nile Rodgers are apparently set to work on new music together.
The news of the collaboration came through a tweet from Rodgers directed towards UK radio DJ Carly Wilford of Rinse FM, who had been praising the funk favourite. "I'm thankful for the music I've been able to have in my life. Giorgio Moroder's next door & agreed to write something w me!" Rodgers wrote.
No further details were given beyond the tweet, and Moroder hasn't confirmed it on his end, but it's possible we'll all, ahem, get lucky and hear new music from the pair of music icons sometime soon.
As previously reported, Rodgers had a funky hand in Daft Punk's Random Access Memories tracks "Give Life Back to Music," "Get Lucky" and "Lose Yourself to Dance," while Moroder featured on the album's "Giorgio by Moroder."
