NOFX Announce New 'Stoke Extinguisher' EP

BY Alex HudsonPublished Oct 7, 2013

Punk lifers NOFX started the year by announcing a massive vinyl box set, and now they're capping off their 2013 campaign with a far more small-scale release: a 7-inch EP titled Stoke Extinguisher, due out on November 26 via Fat Wreck Chords.

The vinyl version contains just two tracks: the brand-new title cut, plus a B-side cover of Tony Sly's "The Shortest Pier," culled from an upcoming tribute album to the late No Use for a Name frontman.

The digital version, on the other hand, expands the tracklist to six songs. There's a demo and a few recent non-LP cuts, so check out the tracklist below. The cover artwork, painted by Jason Cruz of Strung Out, is above.

The band evidently don't plan on slowing down in 2014, since an announcement reveals, "We can't even begin to leak what NOFX has planned next year but trust us when we say that even we were surprised."

One thing we know that the band have planned is a second season of their documentary series Backstage Passport.

Meanwhile, NOFX will be getting their own brand of beer, and they will wrap up the year with a number of U.S. tour dates. See the schedule here.
