Pop-punk lifers NOFX have been entangled in controversy since their series of tasteless Las Vegas shooting jokes onstage in 2018. Frontman Fat Mike has apologized numerous times (and also joked about his own offensive stage banter), and now he's tackled the issue of gun violence on a new ska-tinged track from his band.
Called "Fish in a Gun Barrel," the song feels particularly timely considering the recent spate of mass shootings in America. That said, the song arrived alongside a video from Fat Mike, where he explained that he actually wrote the song long before the Vegas controversy. It was penned on June 13, 2016.
"Fish in a Gun Barrel" will be part of NOFX's next studio album, but they decided to release it early due to its timely nature. Proceeds from the track will be donated to Moms Demand Action.
