Northern Lights Festival Boréal will return to Sudbury this summer, and organizers have just unveiled another round of performers.

Canadian indie darlings Alvvays have just been added as Saturday night's (July 7) headliners.

They'll be joined by a slew of other just-added performers including Iskwé, Connie Kaldor, Russell deCarle, Cécile Doo-Kingué, Aron d'Alesio, Murder Murder, Laetitia Zonzambé, Afrikana Soul Sister, Abigail Lapell, Richard Inman, Guitars Alive Quartet, Les Barricades, Rodney Meilleur, Frank Deresti & the Lake Effect, JoPo & the Rize, and Edouard Landry.

They all join a roster of previously announced artists that includes Lisa LeBlanc, Jane's Party, Mama's Broke, and Sheesham & Lotus & Son.

The festival has been expanded to include entertainment on Thursday night as well, so it will now run from July 5 to 8 at Bell Park.

Tickets for the event are currently on sale online or at local businesses A&J Home Hardware, Old Rock Coffee, Jett Landry Music, the NLFB office and the Farm. Earlybird passes are still available for $75, though the price will get hiked up to $90 as of March 26.
