As previously reported, Athens, GA pop weirdos Of Montreal are raising funds to put out a career-spanning documentary titled Song Dynasties. One of the premiums being offered up for contributors to the Kickstarter campaign is a vinyl-only rarities comp called Young Froth / Taypiss, and the act have now let loose another old-school preview called "Dumb Acre."
The ultra lo-fi recording was apparently tracked pretty early on in the band's career, and finds leader Kevin Barnes melodiously waxing about happiness and love atop a gentle jangle-rock rhythm. You can stream the song down below.
If you're feeling generous, note that there are still two weeks to go in the fundraising campaign, with Of Montreal still hoping to nab roughly another $26,000 to reach their $75,000 goal. You can donate what you can over here.
