Toronto indie pop greats Ohbijou have been hinting at a new album for over a year, but little firm news has surfaced about the new LP, as the group have been busy on various international tours. Now, we're happy to report that they will finally return with a new record, their third, this fall.
The album is called Metal Meets and sees Ohbijou expanding their geographic horizons. As a press release explains, the album "is inspired by ventures to cabins in the woods, travels across Asia, Europe and North America (headlining international tours), and lyrical reflections on familial bloodlines that move across borders."
Metal Meets will be available on September 27 via Last Gang Records. A short teaser for the album is available below.
