​Ottawa's CityFolk Festival Unveils Initial 2018 Lineup

David Byrne, Hozier, Nick Murphy, Belle and Sebastian, the Decemberists, Steve Earle and more will perform

CityFolk will return to Ottawa in late summer, and organizers have just rolled out the initial lineup for the 2018 edition of the festival.
 
Amongst the confirmed performers so far are David Byrne, Hozier, Nick Murphy (Chet Faker), Janis Ian, Belle and Sebastian, Kaleo, the Decemberists, Michael McDonald, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Steve Earle and the Dukes, Lindi Ortega, Allan Rayman, Trampled By Turtles, Tune-Yards, Whitehorse, Andy Shauf, Colter Wall, Flint Eastwood, Dave Alvin and Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Humble Pie, Whitney Rose, William Prince, Ben Caplan, Terra Lightfoot, Chris Smither, Skydiggers, Monkey Junk, Mt. Joy and Gene Clark Tribute.
 
This marks the 25th year of the festival (since its original incarnation as the Ottawa Folk Festival), and it will run from September 12 to 16 at Lansdowne Park. More acts will also be announced in the lead-up to the festival.
 
Pre-sale tickets for CityFolk go on sale tomorrow (May 24) at 10 a.m. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday (May 25). Find full ticketing options and festival information at the official CityFolk website.
 
In addition to the ticketed festival, Marvest will also run in conjunction with CityFolk. It will take place in Bank Street area venues and features free performances by local talent. More details will be revealed in the coming months.
