Ottawa's RBC Bluesfest announced the initial lineup for the upcoming 2015 edition of the annual music festival last week, but today (March 30) organizers have added a huge-name headliner to the already stacked list of performers.
Kanye West will be playing a headlining set on Friday, July 10.
He'll be joining the previously confirmed list of performers which includes Interpol, Iggy Azalea, Run the Jewels, Chance the Rapper, Future Islands, Chvrches, Alvvays, Purity Ring, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Charles Bradley, the Tragically Hip, Bahamas, Arkells, Black Mountain, Hawksley Workman, Hilotrons, Full Flex Express (with Jack Ü), Deep Purple, Blue Rodeo, the Black Lips, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Operators, METZ, Mother Mother, Failure, Bobby Bazini, Canned Heat, Current Swell, De La Soul, Dropkick Murphys, John Butler Trio, Keith Urban, Hedley, Marianas Trench, Logic, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts, Robyn Hitchcock, the Gaslight Anthem, G-Eazy, Logic, Antibalas, the Tea Party and more.
"The RBC Bluesfest is one of the most well-rounded music experiences of the summer," said executive and artistic director Mark Monahan in a previous statement. "As fans have come to expect, we will once again be offering unprecedented value and variety."
The event is scheduled to take place at Ottawa's LeBreton Flats Park from July 8 to 19. Tickets go on sale at noon today (March 3), and you can get full festival information over at the official website.
