P!nk Regrets Her Song "We've Got Scurvy" from 'SpongeBob SquarePants'

"It was a real mistake"

For some reason, we've got a bit of a "weird things related to P!nk" beat happening at Exclaim! When she's not telling off circumcision activists or accepting weird gifts on stage, she's not-so-fondly reminiscing about a song she sang about scurvy.

Even as a bonafide millennial/zoomer cusper, I was unaware of her track for the SpongeBob SquarePants Truth or Square special. "We've Got Scurvy" is exactly what it sounds like — a sea shanty about teeth falling out and lesions after a long time sailing at sea.

"We've got scurvy, we need some vitamin C / We've got scurvy, we need a lemon tree / We got scurvy, we just chillin' on the sea," P!nk sings on the track — complete with a music video of her performing in a fishbowl while dressed as a pirate. Apparently, the aerial pop star doesn't think it aged well, as she told the Los Angeles Times that it was one of her worst songs.

Journalist Mikael Wood asked P!nk what her best and worst singles were, and she started off by citing "So What" and "Get the Party Started" as her favourites. She then called "True Love" her least favourite, before remembering "We've Got Scurvy" exists: "Oh wait, I did put out that SpongeBob thing. 'We've Got Scurvy?' I wish I never did that. That was a real mistake."

Since the track is available on SpongeBob's Greatest Hits, it's not too late for it to end up on your Spotify Wrapped this year.
