As previously reported, Vancouver-based duo the Pack A.D. gave their career a quick overview today (August 27) via the release of their Some SSSongs EP. On top of that, the band have also now confirmed that their proper Nettwerk Records debut Do Not Engage will arrive January 28.
Not much is known about the LP beyond that due date and title, but it had been reported earlier this year that the record was being recorded with Jim Diamond (the White Stripes, the Dirtbombs), who had previously hit the studio with the duo to produce 2011's Unpersons.
As far as new tunes go, the band's recently premiered "Battering Ram," which appears on Some SSSongs, has now received a video treatment set in hometown venue the Anza Club. In addition to showcasing the Pack A.D.'s latest bluesy riff fest, the clip features cue ball-busting fights, sword-swallowing burlesque routines, and a disturbingly bloody look into guitarist Becky Black and drummer Maya Miller's working relationship.
Also coming up for the band are a couple of quick North American road trips, of which you'll find the details down below.
Tour dates:
09/05 Oshawa, ON - The Moustache Club
09/06 Toronto, ON - Younge & Dundas Square
09/07 St. Catharines, ON - The Mansion House
09/10 New York City, NY - Pianos
