Paste are continuing on their one-off single streak, this time sharing indie sleaze-tinged track "All That You Came For."
Produced by lead guitarist Will Agnew, "All That You Came For" explores themes of dissonance and strained communication. The track builds into a sing-a-long chorus that cements their pop orientation while holding onto their noughties rock-influenced edge.
"I think we leaned into the pop vibe a bit more with this release to try and explore some sonic textures that we're less comfortable with," bandleader Dylan Taylor tells Exclaim! "It's definitely still Paste at its core, but Will and I both really wanted to get out of the indie rock box to see what else we can incorporate. We're definitely leaning into the same vibe with some of the stuff we have in the works!"
"All That You Came For" follows the Class of 2022 graduates' release of "Razor Thin" last September. Paste are keeping busy with live performances across the GTA, having recently played release shows for the track in Toronto and Guelph.
