Patti Smith recently announced plans to promote her photography exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario with a pair of live shows in Toronto. Now, the revered punk poet has scheduled another show in the city.
Two days after her back-to-back AGO shows on March 7, Smith will perform at the city's Queen Elizabeth Theatre on March 9. She'll be backed by Tony Shanahan and her children, Jackson and Jesse Smith.
The night is billed as "an evening of words and music." The show is in memory of Smith's former flame Robert Mapplethorpe, who was the focus of Smith's celebrated 2010 memoir Just Kids.
Tickets go on sale this coming Monday (February 18) and cost between $29.50 and $49.50. See Smith's international live schedule below.
