Folk and pop icon Paul Simon has announced a North American tour to celebrate his mighty and melodic songbook. The singer-songwriter gets on his way later this spring, taking the songs through various theatres and concert halls, but seemingly not a single schoolyard.
Simon announced the trek on his website over the weekend, with a statement noting that a few Canadian appearances have been mixed into the mostly U.S. itinerary. This includes a stop at Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Theatre on May 26, a show at Toronto's Sony Centre on June 21 and a gig at Montreal's Place Des Arts on June 22.
While the schedule includes a few as-yet-unfilled slots, you'll find all of the existing date and venue details down below.
Though his discography dates back over 50 years, Simon has not issued a full-length of original material release since 2011's So Beautiful or So What.
UPDATE (02/22, 1:30 p.m.): The new Paul Simon album Stranger to Stranger is reportedly set to arrive this spring.
