Peter Bjorn John & Kanye

MTV.com is reporting that Peter Bjorn & John will perform a song with Kanye West for his performance at the Way Out West Festival in Gothenburg, Sweden on August 11.

This comes after Kanye freestyled over the trio's smash hit "Young Folks" back in May, which led to speculation this last week about the possible collaboration. Speaking to MTV News, Peter Móren announced: "We are absolutely confirmed to do it. He's going to rap on a song and we're going to play along and I'm going to dance. But I don't know specifics, like, what we're gonna do. Just jam around a bit. I may have to choreograph a dance routine. I have to check out his videos and see what he's doing. Maybe we will put on some new suits. You know, sweat pants? Gymnastic outfits — what do you call them? Tracksuits?"

It may be hard to believe (to Kanye at least), but PB&J were unaware of Kanye West until someone played them his rendition of "Young Folks," which first appeared on the rapper/producer's Can't Tell Me Nothing mix-tape. "Yeah, I guess he seems to be a nice guy," Móren said. "I've never listened to him, really, and I haven't heard from him at all. His manager and our manager have been talking to one another, but we haven't met. We'll meet five minutes before, hopefully, and I will say, 'How are you doing? Did you have a good meal? How's the hotel?' The usual stuff, you know? Just small talk."

As for the multi-platinum West using the band's song illegally to boost his indie credit, Móren added, "He never asked [to use it], so we're going to have a serious talk. Maybe we'll have to hold him up against the wall or something."
