Just days away from the release of Philip H. Anselmo's solo debut Walk Through Exits Only, the legendary metal musician and his backup band the Illegals have let loose a video for album track "Bedridden."
At first, it's a straightforward video that finds the band tearing into the cut in their practice space. Despite the viciousness of the detuned riffs, gut-punching drums and Anselmo's patented bark, things get goofy when it switches from a performance vid into shots of the singer curling up with a good book and an adorable pup. You can't blame Anselmo for wanting to cuddle up that little dude; he looks pretty lovable. The vocalist's nagging doppelganger that pops up late in the video seems like a bit of a drag, though.
As previously reported, Walk Through Exits Only drops July 16 through Anselmo's own Housecore Records. The Illegals head on tour later this summer, with upcoming dates booked in Toronto and Montreal. You can get the details over here.
