French pop greats Phoenix have been relatively quiet since 2013's Bankrupt!, but they'll soon rise from the ashes like some sort of mythical bird. They've just officially announced their new album.
As reported in a New York Times interview, the band's sixth album will be called Ti Amo. According to the piece, the band's Laurent Brancowitz says the album sounds like "summer and Italian discos."
Ti Amo was recorded in a vacant opera house near Paris's Pompidou Center. The release will arrive on June 9 via Glassnote.
While we await a proper single stream or music video, Phoenix recently debuted three of the album's songs at a live show. They also played a snippet of new music in a Calvin Klein commercial.
