Be careful with that axe! A friendly dancer wildly brandishing an axe is just one of the strange things you'll see in the video for "Irène" from Montreal-based/Congolese-born Bonsound signee Pierre Kwenders.
Much of the clip is a fairly straightforward affair in which we see Kwenders singing and dancing along with the thumping electronic track out in the forest. But there are also some unusual sights including his face projected onto the moon, ancient-looking statues, someone plucking oyster pearls out with a fork, a hand getting doused in chocolate sauce, a wilderness ballerina, and some sort of religious scene.
The debut album Le Dernier Empereur Bantou drops on October 14.
